Her famous hairstyle is far from the only thing that has made Jennifer Aniston popular with thousands of fans. She plays Rachel Green on the hit series "Friends" and has been in quite a few movies and television shows since she began her career.

Jennifer, who is of Greek descent, lived in Greece for a year with her family when she was young. However, she was raised in New York City as her father, John Aniston, was a regular on Days of Our Lives for years. Her father was not the only person in her life who exposed her to show business; her mother was an actress and model, and her godfather was Telly Savalas.
Jennifer began to encourage her love of the arts by joining the Rudolf Steiner School's drama club at the age of 11. She also began painting, and one of her works was displayed in New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Her professional training in drama began when she attended New York's High School of Performing Arts. After graduating in 1987, she worked off-Broadway and appeared in productions such as For Dear Life and Dancing on Checker's Grave. After two years of waitressing and participating in the theater, Aniston found work on several television shows including Ferris Bueller, The Edge, Muddling Through, Herman's Head and Molloy.

Jennifer has starred in a number of films, including Picture Perfect, The Object of My Affection, She's the One, and 'Til There Was You. She also starred in a video tutorial for Windows 95 along with Matthew Perry, and has appeared in several magazine ads with her co-stars. Most recently, Jennifer landed a starring role in the upcoming 20th Century Fox film Office Space, which will be released in cinemas on February 19th, just eight days after her birthday.

It wasn't until she became Rachel on "Friends" that Jennifer Aniston's fame grew, and fan websites sprouted all over the Internet.
